Thankfully she prescribed me with a bunch of drugs, I have Otomize ear spray, (below) which I have to use two times a day and it should cure the infection.
Amoxicillin Capsules (Below) which are the antibiotics which should cure the infection in my ears and also the chest infection.
Finally Codipar Caplets, (Below) which have 15mg of Codeine Phosphate and 500mg of Paracetamol.
I'm just starting my third day of taking them, and currently I don’t feel any different, I have noticed I'm sleeping better, but I have completely lost all balance, and can’t really hear, it sounds like I have a finger in one ear, and I'm underwater, it’s a very strange thing, I don’t know how else to describe it. The doctor also told me not to go into work for the rest of the week, because of my balance, and because of the tablets, as they say not to drive etc while taking them, and like in my previous note, I'm on the phones constantly, which wouldn’t only inflame the infection further!
Seeing as though I'm not at work, I thought this would be a good time to tell you all about the ice hockey! Oh what a mission indeed! I don’t even know where to start!
I had a very strange experience while getting petrol before heading my way into Birmingham to meet my friend Katie, after I filled up I parked over by the tyre pressure section, just so I could plug in my sat nav, and then get on my way, as I was sorting it out, a chap knocked on my window and started talking to me, and asked if I needed help, I said no, because I was just sorting out Jane (the sat nav) and I know how to do that, turns out he meant my tyres, supposedly, they were really deflated, and he wanted to help me pump them up, which I thought was lovely, and very kind of him, and then he started telling me about his problems, and how the meds have only just kicked in, and for the first time in 18 months he feels as though he can do anything (I don’t know about you, but my mind starts running away with me at this point) he goes on to say that his wife is divorcing him, yet they are still living together, and that he has nowhere to go and no one will miss him (at this point I was thinking, good god, he is playing with my car, he is going to follow me down the road, wait for my tyres to explode and then capture me) thankfully that didn’t happen, I think he was a genuinely a lovely man, just a bit depressed, but talking about your meds really isn’t going to put a stranger at ease!
This is where the fun begins! My sat nav Jane is a complete bitch! (<<< that is Jane) I was trying to get to Birmingham, west heath, and I was following her every direction, and then she took me onto the M6 which I did, and she wanted me to get off at the next exit to join the M5, so I did this, then, when I was on the M5, she wanted me to take the first exit and join the M6! I don’t know about you, but that is just taking me around in circles, so what should have been a 30 minute drive to West Heath took bloody hours! I ended up ringing Katie and thankfully her step dad was a travelling genius! He told me to get on the M5, keep on it until the exit after the services and to join the M42 and then take the first exit after joining the M42 and then take a left and they would meet me there by the flower store! And they were the greatest instructions! I got there without any problems or hassles or anything, all the time I was following his directions, and Jane was still trying to get me to go another way!
Finally got to Katie’s and we headed on our way to Coventry to see the Coventry Blaze ice hockey team play against Edinburgh Capitals! We got there a little early so decided to grab some food at Old Orleans, I loved the place, and they offer you popcorn as you walk in! You can always win me over with free popcorn! I ordered Gumbo, I had never tried it before, and I have just finished reading, Alex Cross Trial, in which Gumbo is mentioned a lot, and I had never seen it on any menus before, so I had to have it! It was wonderful! I really enjoyed it; it came with a bit of rice, and a slice of corn bread! Delicious!
Now the game! Oh it was brilliant! I had never been to a live ice hockey game before, and it was so much fun! I was surprised at how many people were there, I didn’t realise it was so popular over here! After only a short wait the Blaze boys appeared on the ice and also, their opponents, the Edinburgh Capitals! After scoring twice in the first two minutes I'm sure everyone thought Blaze would just walk all over the Capitals, boy were we wrong!
At the end of the third, the score was an even 5-5. I don’t think the game could have gotten more intense! Not knowing if it would stay a draw or if it would go into over time we were waiting to hear what happens! 5 minutes of overtime was announced! First team to score wins! The pressure was on our Blaze boys! 1:50 minutes into overtime, Luke Fulghum scores the crucial goal! I cheered and whooped in ways I’ve never done before! It was such a great game and a great experience! One I have to do again! Sorry the posting is so long! I should really learn how to make them shorter! I think I rabbit on a bit too much about nothing!
Bye for Now! x
